Notes - SHANTZ, Catherine Mary Born January 26, 1914, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2015, at the age of 101 years. Predeceased by her beloved husband Willard in 2005. Loving mother of Bryan and the late Dr. Willard E. Shantz. Cherished grandmother of Nicole and Jeremy. Together with her husband, Catherine was a proprietor of Willard's Lunch, a restaurant that was once located in downtown Kitchener. She was a long-time dedicated and faithful member of St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Kitchener. Catherine's family will receive friends at Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, on Friday evening from 7-9 p.m. The funeral home can be accessed via Wellington St., to Moore Ave. to King St. Please call for directions 519-745-9495. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at St. Anne's Church, 268 East Ave., Kitchener, with Fr. Peter Meyer as celebrant. A reception will immediately follow in the church hall.
