- Theodore F. Schmidt
Theodore F. Schmidt died at his Sheldon Avenue home today. Death was due to a heart attack.
The late Mr. Schmidt was born at North Easthope and came to the city 36 years ago. For more than 30 years he had been a motorman on the local street railway and was the oldest employee in that service. At one time he was in charge of the old station car which ran to the C.N.R. station. He attended St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. His wife predeceased him in 1935.
Two sons, Walter and Howard, of Kitchener, survive him, also one daughter, Mrs. Edgar Dahmer, Kitchener; one brother, John, of Hamilton, and a sister, Mrs. Henry Hoerle of Philipsburg.
At 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, a public service will be held at the residence. 20 Sheldon Avenue, followed at 2:30 by a service at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, with Rev. John Schmieder, D.D., in charge. Interment will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. The remains are resting at the Schreiter Sandrock Funeral Home until noon, Oct. 6, and from there will be taken to the residence.
