Two fire hoses, extending from the small upper left and right corner images, point toward the flames. An image of the Berlin fire station appears in the upper left hand corner, while an image of a fire wagon appears in the upper right hand corner. • THE NEW FIRE BRIGADE

The new fire brigade is composed of the following members:- Frank Seibert, chief; Daniel Boettger, driver; Michael Massell, John Treusch, Charles Koehn,
Eugen Hirteis, Otto Koehn, John W. Rhodes, Isaak Dickmann, Adam Denges, Michael Heintzmann, Leander Klaehn, John H. Mayer, and Henry Tiehle.

The chief is responsible for his underlings and has full authority over them. There were 23 applications on hand for the vacant positions. The members of the new fire brigade are not allowed to drink beer in the firehall. This is a commendable regulation.
