- Mrs. Margaret Washburn
Mrs. Margaret Washburn, 95, a former Kitchener resident, died Sunday in the Eventide Home, Galt, after a long illness.
Born in Chesterville, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Gillespie. She lived in Galt for eight years after living in Kitchener for many years. She was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church.
Her husband, Clark Washburn, died in 1939.
Surviving are one son, Howard C. of Alton, Ont., seven and eight greatgrandchildren. Four sons predeceased her, Lionel V., James W., Robert killed in France in the First World War and Cameron killed in Italy in the Second World War.
The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where Very Rev. Finlay G. Stewart will conduct service at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery..
