- SHANTZ, Mrs. Kathleen (Ward) -- Went to be with her Lord, suddenly on Monday, July 8, 1985, at her residence, Mildred Kathleen Brubacher, aged 77 years, of 11 Margaret Ave., Kitchener. Mrs. Shantz was a member of Bethany Missionary Church. Beloved wife of Rev. Ward Shantz; dear mother of Dr. David Shantz and his wife Dr. Carolyn of Detroit, Mich. and Marion (Mrs. Ray Houlding) of Kitchener; loving granddmother of Catherine and Cindy Shantz, Meredith and Jason Houlding. Also survived by her sisters-in-law, Mrs. Isabel Brubacher of Toronto, Mrs. Myrtle Brubacher and Mrs. Ruth Brubacher, both of Kitchener. Predeceased by her parents and three brothers, Harry, Lorne and Lloyd. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, after 7 p.m. today, until noon Wednesday, when removal will be made to Bethany Missionary Church, 160 Lancaster St. E., Kitchener, for funeral service at 2 p.m., with Rev. John Hamilton and Rev. Clarence Hunking officiating. Interment Memory Gardens. Memorial donations to the Women's Missionary Society of Bethany Missionary Church or the building fund of Emmanuel Bible College gratefully acknowledged.
