WORKMAN IN WELL HURT AS HEAVY TACKLE FALLS
PRESTON. - Albert Fach, Preston contractor, suffered a fractured shoulder, brain concussion and a possible skull fracture when a 300 - pound block and tackle fell 25 feet and struck him as he worked at the bottom of a well here. Fach was taken to hospital in Kitchener. The block and tackle, used for lowering tiles, snapped from the supporting ring under the strain of the heavy tiles. A bucket used for bringing earth from the excavation was used in raising Fach from the well.
