- Clark, John Lance-Corporal. He enlisted early in the war with a Mounted Rifles unit. He had previously been a member of the 29th Highland Light Infantry of Canada. He was born in Sittingbourne, England but had lived in Galt for five years. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Clark, live on Elliott St., Galt. Anglican. He died of wounds May 9, 1917 at the age of twenty-two.1a
