  • Notes
    • Mrs. R.J. Kerr - Profound regret was felt by many friends in New Hamburg when it was learned that Mrs. Ada Kerr passed away at their home in Kitchener on Friday evening, March 11th. Death came rather suddenly after a short attack of influenza and pneumonia. The deceased was a resident of New Hamburg for many years and was a faithful and active member of St. George's Anglican Church. She had a large circle of friends in town who are grieved at her demise. She was the elder daughter of the late Thomas Mitchell and Mrs. Mitchell and was born on a farm in South Wilmot. She came with her parents to New Hamburg as a young girl and resided here for many years until she moved to Kitchener about fifteen years ago. Since residing in Kitchener she was an untiring member of St. John's Church. She was president of the Women's Auxiliary and devoted much time to church activities. She was also a member of the Eastern Star Lodge. The late Mrs. Kerr was married to R. J. Kerr, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kerr, of the Huron Road, who predeceased her a few years ago. Her father and only sister, Mrs. Alice Murbach, also predeceased. She leaves her aged mother and a large circle of friends to mourn her demise.
