- CALLED AFTER SHORT ILLNESS
ANOTHER VICTIM OF THE PREVALENT DISEASE, PNUEMONIA
There passed away last Friday at the home of her parents on Centre street, Clara B. Weber, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Weber. The deceased was born at the former home of the family on the 4th concession of Peel township, where she lived with her parents until their removal to Elmira about two years ago. Though she was of a quiet retiring disposition, she took an active part in the work of the Presbyterian church at Hollen, serving as secretary-treasurer of the Ladies' Aid and of the Mission Band, also a Sunday School teacher for a number of years. When she came to Elmira, she also identified herself with the work of the Presbyterian church and taught a Sunday school class. In all her work, she won the love and respect of those with whom she came in contact and will be greatly missed by all, especially by her parents, who are now left childless, she and a brother who died in infancy having been the only children. Though Miss Weber had not been feeling well for almost a month, she took seriously ill only about a week before her death. Pneumonia is a particularly severe form was the cause of her death. The funeral was held on Monday afternoon and was attended by a large number of relatives and friends among whom were some from Galt, Kitchener, Milverton, Waterloo, St. Jacobs, Conestogo, Listowel, Glennallan, Hawkesville, Hollen and Guelph. Rev. W. H. Bartlett conducted the services. The pallbearers were Menno Miller, Art Bricker, Allan Weber, Ion Weber, Clarence Shuh and Wellington Weber.
