  Death of Mr. John Schultz - An old and highly respected resident of the village passed away on Sunday last in the person of Mr. John Schultz at the age of 80 years, 9 months and 1 day. He had been in failing health for some time. The late Mr. Schultz was born in Germany and had been a resident of New Hamburg for about forty years. He was a faithful adherent of the R. C. church. The late Mr. Schultz was married at St. Agatha to Anna Voida; who survives him besides two sons and five daughters, namely: Mrs. George Herringer, Preston; Mrs. E. Migliarini, Mrs. Joseph Benninger and Mrs. Leo Gatschene, New Hamburg; August of Kitchener, and Herman and Mrs. Andrew Gatschene, of Stratford. The funeral took place on Wednesday forenoon from his late home on Waterloo street to the R. C. church and cemetery. New Hamburg Independent, June 25, 1920

Migliarini The death occurred at her home here last Friday morning, of Emma Schultz, beloved wife of Mr. Ersilio Migliarini, at the age of 48 years, 5 months and 21 days. She had been a sufferer with diabetes for several years. The deceased was a daughter of the late John Schultz and Mrs. Schultz. She was born in New Hamburg and spent her while life here, being a valued members of the R. C. Church and beloved by a large circle of friends. She leaves her husband and three sons, Arthur, Harold and Oliver, all at home, besides her mother, four sisters and two brother, namely Mrs. George Herringer, Kitchener, Mrs. J. Benninger, Bridgeport, Mrs. Andrew Gatschene, Stratford, Mrs. Leo Gatschene, Kitchener, Aug. Schultz, of Kitchener and Herman Schultz, Stratford. The funeral was held on Monday forenoon to the R. C. Church where the funeral mass was sung by Rev. Father Beachy with interment following in the R. C. Cemetery. The bereaved family have the sympathy of their many friends in their sad loss.
