• Notes

  Joseph Eckenswiller, a former resident of New Hamburg, died last Friday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Gordon Euler, in Kitchener, at the age of 89 years. He was born in New Hamburg, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Eckenswiller Sr., and about fifty years ago moved to Kitchener where he was employed by the city works department for 30 years. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Lucy Myers, 31 years ago, and by three sisters and three brothers. Surviving besides his daughter are two grandchildren. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon with service at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home in Kitchener, and interment was in Memory Gardens. Rev. Lorne Dorsch conducted the service.
