  Moses Weber," was born February 8th, 1797. On August 3rd, 1819, he married to Anna, daughter of Jacob and Maria (Martin) Stauffer. She was born October 25th, 1799, and died October 1st, 1833. After her decease he was again married, November 15th, 1836, to Rachel Lindeman who was born September 6th, 1815. After his first marriage he settled in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, where he was engaged as a farmer until the year 1825 when he sold out and on April 25th, same year, he left his native home and moved to Canada, arriving at Blair, Ontario, May 15th following, where he rented the "Eshleman Farm" for three years, then in 1828, he moved to Woolwich Township, near Heidelburg, on the farm now possessed by Christian L. Weber. Here he followed farming for four years, then he moved to Preston, Ontario, where he resided until 1838 when he moved to Dundas, Ontario, where he was proprietor of the "Red Lion" Hotel for a number of years. His death took place July 26th, 1854. His family consisted of ten children,* of whom the eldest seven were born unto his first wife. Names of children are as follows:" Eby, Ezra E. (1895).
