- KLAVER, John Passed away peacefully after a valiant struggle with Pancreatic cancer and five years of Renal Dialysis, at home, surrounded by his loving family on Friday, August 31, 2012. Survived by his cherished wife, Barbara. Loving father of Ted (Ingrid), Hazel and Paul (Joyce). Special Opa to Philip (Vicky), David; Michael, Marnie (Jonathon) of Haiti, Matthew, Thomas (Jenni), Susie Lubberts; Shayne (Lindsay), Nick (Brittany) Hardman. Great Opa to Brooklyn, Micaela, Danae, Hayden, Cyrus and Atlas. Also survived by siblings Tys (Helen) Klaver and Dieuwke (Hans - deceased) Bremer of Netherlands. Predeceased by his parents, three brothers and two sisters. John's family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, September 2, 2012 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home , 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 3, 2012 in the funeral home chapel, immediately followed by a reception. Cremation to follow and private interment at Memory Gardens. Special thanks to the staff at the Renal Dialysis Unit (GRH) for their compassionate care and all the Para Med Nurses and CCAC.
