- CHESTER, MARIA JANE
At her home on the 1st concession of Puslinch, on May 3, 1924, in her 46th year. Miss Chester was born in Waterloo Township near Doon, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Chester. She leaves six brothers and four sisters, Benjamin of Fisher's Mills; Thomas of Missoula, Montana; Edward of Guelph; John, William and Richard of Puslinch; Mrs. Frances Hilborn of Preston Road; Mrs. Charles Brown of Puslinch; and Mrs. Charles Gowing of Waterloo Township. The funeral was held on Wednesday, May 7, 1924, officiated by Rev. H. Gowdie of the Mennonite Church, of which Miss Chester was a devoted member.
-Information from the death certificate: Born in Puslinch on December 10, 1878, daughter of Benjamin Chester and Catherine Hammett. Died of a cerebral embolism. Informant was John Chester of R. R. #2, Hespeler.
