    • Obituary of Aurelia Seyler 1921 - 2007

      Passed away, peacefully, after a brief illness, at St. Mary"s General Hospital, on Wednesday, January 3, 2007, in her 86th year.

      Predeceased by her beloved husband Peter in 2000. Loving mother of Paul and Sheila of St. Jacobs, Reginald of McKenzie Island, ON and Cathy and Norm Taylor of Petersburg. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Stephanie and Ken Simpson, Rob Seyler, and Norm and David Taylor. Loving great-grandmother of Mackenzie and Hannah Simpson. Survived by her sister Laura Kroetsch of Waterloo. Also survived by her sisters-in-law Lorraine Dietrich, Helen Knarr, Victoria Seyler and brother-in-law Harold Seyler and his wife Dorothy.

      Predeceased by her parents Louis and Emma (Kienapple) Dietrich, brother Robert Dietrich, brothers-in-law Joseph Kroetsch, Adam Seyler, Hilbert Seyler (Betty), Irvin Seyler (Jean), Clarence Seyler, Noah Knarr, sisters-in-law Edna Ackerl (Joe), Minetta and Elsie Seyler.

      Aurelia and Peter lived in St. Agatha for 47 years. During this time, they were members of St. Agatha RC Church where Aurelia was past president of the CWL. They moved to St. Jacobs in 1995 and were members of St. Teresa of Avila RC Church in Elmira. In 2002, Aurelia moved to Village Manor Retirement Home in St. Jacobs. The family would like to thank Debbie, Wes and the ladies of the Manor for their love and support over the past five years.

      The family will receive friends at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Friday, January 5, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where parish prayers will be held at 8:45 p.m.. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 10 a.m. at St. Agatha RC Church with Fr. Charles Fedy as celebrant. Interment at St. Agatha RC Cemetery. A reception will follow in the church hall.

      In living memory of Aurelia, a tree will be planted through the Trees for Learning Program by the funeral home.
