      Oscar Goetz, 72, of 1102 Cunningham Ave, was dead on arrival in St. Francis Hospital at 6:30 p.m. yesterday following a heart condition.

      He was born in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, Nov. 5, 1893, to Gustave and Laura Goetz. His wife, Minnie Klein Goetz, died March 23, 1950, Mr. Goetz operated the former Simplex Motor Parts Store from 1836 to the time of his retirement.

      He was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church where he was a treasurer and elder. He was a veteran of World War I and served in the Army with Company B, 112th engineers. He was a member of VFW Post 315.

      Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Goetz, at home; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Woolner and Mrs. Alma Mullin of Kitchener and Mrs. Otillia Kilcup of Calgary, Canada; a brother, Fred Burch, of Waterloo, Canada; a half brother, Theodore Grau of Kitchener; and two half-sisters, Mrs. Pauilne Scherer and Mrs. Emma Censer of Kitchener. He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth, in 1930.

      Friends will be received in the Cunningham Northside Funeral Home, 2429 Wilmington Rd., from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home by Rev. Harold Held.

      The body will be removed to the Clifford Funeral Home, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, following the service.

      Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Oakwood Cemetery, Cuyahoga Falls.
