- Edwin G. Bartscher - Edwin G. Bartscher, 72, of 220 Clark Ave., died Sunday at his home after a heart attack. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Barney Bartscher of Baden, and lived in Kitchener and Breslau for many years. Mr. Bartscher retired from the Canadian National Railways in 1957 after 46 years' service. He was a member of St. Phillip's Lutheran Church. His wife, the former Marie Lehman, died in 1957 and he was also predeceased by a daughter, Lois, in 1942; a brother, Arnold, and a sister, Mrs. Elvina Brooks. Surviving are one son, Kenneth of Kitchener; two brothers, Ervin of Kitchener, and Earl of Galt; one sister, Mrs. Ross (Helena) Webb of waterloo and three grandchildren. The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where Rev. Donald Stewart will conduct a service at 2 pm, Wednesday. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
