  Magdalena Martin, "the eldest daughter of Henry and Catharine (Miller) Martin, was born in Woolwich Township, Waterloo County, December 8th, 1822. On March 17th, 1840, she was married to Joshua Y., son of Jacob and Mary (Yost) Shantz." Eby, Ezra E. (1895). Berlin [Kitchener, Ont.]: [s.n.]. __________________________ Last Saturday Mrs. Joshua Shantz was called to her long home, after a short illness and was buried at the cemetery between Hamburg and Wilmot Centre last Wednesday morning.
