- Menno S. Weber," the eldest son, was born June 19th, 1838. On March 3rd, 1864, he was married to Rachel, daughter of Abraham D. and Veronica (Shantz) Clemens. She was born August 21st, 1842, and died September 18th, 1880. After their marriage they moved on the old "Elias Bowman Farm" one mile north of Breslau where they both died. He died December 28th, 1879. They had a family of two children, namely: VII Simon who died in infancy, and VII Lydia Ann who married Simon Schiedel and had a family of two children, named VIII Wesley and VIII Myra, when she died, June 3rd, 1890."

Dec. 29th, in the same place*, of consumption, Bro. MENNO S. WEBER, aged 41 years and 6 months. Funeral the 31st, at Cressman's. He fell asleep in Jesus, with a living hope of reigning with Him in glory. Words of comfort were delivered by Moses Bowman and Jacob Rohrer. Text, 2 Cor. 5: 1, and Philip. 3: 30. * Waterloo County
