  Magdalena Erb, "was born in Preston, July 18th, 1810. She was married to Andrew Kauffman who was born February 1st, 1804, and died December 7th, 1858. They resided on the farm now in the possession of John Erb at Centreville, near Berlin. She died at her daughter's (Mrs. Knarr) home, near Erbsville, February 20th, 1883. They had a family of twelve children" Eby, Ezra E. (1895).
