- ARMSTRONG, ERNEST LEROY was born in Woodstock on November 18, 1892. He attended the Woodstock Collegiate Institute and the University of Western Ontario where he received his degree in medicine in 1918. He spent the year 1918-1919 in the R. C. A. M. C, and then returned to the University of Western Ontario for a year.
In 1922 he entered general practice in Baden, and remained there for about a year. He then took postgraduate work in pathology and became pathologist at Kamot Hospital, Erie Pa., from 1927 until his retirement in 1967.
The above information was provided by Dr. Armstrong but he was not precise regarding dates. The Weekly Reporter of Sept. 7, 1920 had the following item in the news from New Dundee & Dr. & Mrs. Armstrong of Baden spent Wednesday of last week with Dr. & Mrs. N. A. Morrison.
The Kitchener Daily Record Jan. 28, 1921 in reporting that he was returning to London, says. " He has been practising in Baden for about one year. "
