  Walter H. Schaefer A lifelong resident of the Twin Cities, Walter H. Schaefer, 61, of 99 Roger St., Waterloo, died Wednesday at K-W Hospital following a lengthy illness. A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schaefer, he was born Feb. 8, 1902, in Kitchener. He was employed as an accountant at the Mutual Life Assurance Company of Canada for 39 years. A member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, he had been a member of the Waterloo Masonic Lodge, the Long Service Club at Mutual Life and the Preston Legion Citizens Band. He is survived by his wife, the former Irene Vogel, whom he married in Kitchener June 25, 1929. He was predeceased by one sister. The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where Rev. Dr. J. H. Reble of St. Peter's Lutheran Church will conduct services at 2 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Mount. Hope Cemetery. Kitchener-Waterloo Record Thu, May 30, 1963 Page 27
