Suddenly, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, on Sunday, Dec. 17, 1972, age 64 years, Art Rickert of 648 Frederick St., Kitchener; employed with Rickert Dairy until 1949 when he opened and operated the Town and Country Restaurant at Edna and Victoria Sts. until 1961, moving to his present location at 305 Lancaster St. W.; attended Holy Cross Lutheran Church and was a 25 year member of the Sales and Advertising Club.
A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Rickert; survived by his wife, the former Beatrice Hatt; one son, Jack; one daughter, Nancy (Mrs. J. M. (Mac) Torrance, both of Kitchener; five brothers, Earl Rickert.; Arnold, Roy, Gordon and Arnold Schnarr, all of Kitchener; four sisters, Wilda (Mrs. Bert Tomlinson) of Kitchener, Verneeda (Mrs. Carl Gracey) of Tillsonburg, Mabel (Mrs. Nelson Paepcke) and Gloria (Mrs. Edward Hentges), both of Kitchener; also survived by five grand-children.
Resting at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home, 51 Benton St., Kitchener, after 7 p.m. today, until noon on Wednesday when removal will be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church for service and committal at 2: 30 p.m. Interment to follow in Woodland cemetery, Rev. L. E. Wentzlaff officiating.
