- In the 1911 census, 14-year-old Herbert was living with his parents Otto and Amelia Heinrich at 159 Albert St. in the Waterloo North riding of Ontario. The family's neighbours were Isadore (Israel), Hattie and Margaret Miller (his future wife). Herbert was employed as a gardener.
