    • Doerr, Katharine Rose (Kaye) - On Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1993, at K-W Hospital, Kitchener, after a courageous battle with cancer, in her 73rd year. Daughter of the late Roy and Beatrice (nee Katzenmeier) Luckhart. Beloved wife of Woodrow E. (Woody) Doerr; dear mother of Terry and Gary Pfaff of Millgrove, (Gaye) Ellen Dahl of Kitchener and Cathy and Dale Winhold of Stratford; loving grandmother of Chris, Todd, Ricky, David, Mark and Scott. Dearly loved by her sister, Ruth Luckhart of New Hamburg; her brother, Rex and his wife Marjorie of Chesley; special niece, Laura Templin and cousin, Karl Katzenmeier. Kaye will be lovingly remembered by her in-laws, Marville and Lewis Hahn and Mae Doerr, all of Kitchener, William Templin, nieces, nephews and many special friends. She was predeceased by her sister, Earla Templin; brother, John in infancy and grandson, Eric. Kaye was a lifelong member of Zion United Church, New Hamburg; a life member of Zion UCW and of the New Hamburg Lawn Bowling Club. She had been a volunteer with the Canadian Cancer Society, and enjoyed many years of service with the United Church of Canada at the Guelph Presbytery, Hamilton Conference and the National Level. The family will receive friends at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg, today (Thursday) from 7-9 p.m. and Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At noon Saturday, transfer will be made to Zion United Church for 2 p.m. service, with Rev. Bob Thaler officiating. Spring internment in Riverside Cemetery. Memorial donations to the VON, Homecare or the Oncology Unit of K-W Hospital, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
