Notes - WAGNER, Gertrude Eileen - Died peacefully, at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Monday, February 19, 2007, in her 90th year. Gertrude Wagner, nee Heimpel, formerly of Bridgeport/Kitchener and Chateau Gardens, Elmira. Loving mother of Joyce, husband Doug Turner of Point Clark and Susan, husband Ed Zacharczuk of Wellesley. Sadly missed by grandchildren, Linda, Laurie, Mark, Guy, Lee and seven great-grandchildren. Also by brother, Walter (Mickey) Heimpel. Predeceased by husband, Herman "Hooker" (1965); sisters, Margaret, Jean, Dora and brothers, Wilfred, Jack and Goldwin and parents, Catherine and Allan Heimpel. Gertrude was a former employee of Arrow Shirt until her retirement in 1983. A member of the Seniors Group at the Breithaupt Centre and a faithful member to St. Paul's Lutheran Church and an active member of the E.L.C.W. at St. Paul's. In accordance with Gertrude's wishes, a private family service will take place at a later date. Cremation has taken place. In memory of Gertrude, donations to the Grand River Hospital Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated and can be arranged through the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King Street West, Kitchener (519) 745-9495.
