  AUGUST SCHLEGEL August Schlegel, 75, Wellington Street North, died at St. Mary's Hospital last evening. He was born March 19, 1896, in Bamberg, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Schlegel. His mother was the former Miss Elizabeth Gremm. He married Miss Anna Harbach, who survives, He had lived in Kitchener for 30 years and was a charter member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church and of the Brotherhood of the church. He is survived by four sons, Oliver, Arthur, Gordon and Carl of this city, a son Wilfred, predeceased him 11 years ago. Also surviving are four daughters, Miss Alma Schlegel and Mrs. Austin Forler of this city, also Miss Alex Eichler, Stratford, and Mrs. Alfred Reeves, Brampton; two brothers, Fred of Warsaw, N.Y., and Louis of Hanover. one sister, Mrs. Charles Knechtel, of this city and eight grandchildren. Public funeral services will be held from the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home on Sunday, at 2:15 p.m. to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, at 2:30 p.m. Dr. John Schmieder will officiate.
