  MRS. MARY WICKERT The death took place on Sunday last, at the home of Mr. Henry Klinkman, Wilmot, of Mary Schraeder, relict of the late Henry Wickert, at the age of 85 years, 10 months and 29 days. The deceased had been confined to bed for some weeks past and had been totally blind for nearly six years. She was a native of Germany and came to this country with her parents when a small child. After her marriage to Mr. Wickert, who predeceased her 15 years ago, they located on a farm in McGillivray Township, Middlesex County, where she spent the greater part of her life. For the pastthree years she had lived with her daughter, Mrs. Drinker, at the home of Henry Klinkman. The late Mrs.Wickert is survived by 2 sons and 6 daughters : Henry Wickert, of Parkhill ; Wm. Wickert, of Hale, Mich.; Mrs. Jos. Thompson, Port Huron ; Mrs. Daniel Burr and Mrs. John Binger, Parkhill ; Mrs. Henry Battram, Greenway ; Mrs. Susie Brinker, Wilmot, and Mrs. Wm. Cooper, Hensall. The funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon from the home of Mr. Klinkman. A short service was held at the house at 1.30 o'clock, after which the remains were taken to Parkhill, where interment took place on Wednesday. New Hamburg Independent 14 Sep 1923 pg 1
