      Andrew Lawrence Magnus, 67, of RR 1, Ariss, died Saturday at his home after a lengthy illness.

      Born hear Ariss Nov. 30, 1892, he was a son of Mrs. Regina Magnus and the late Jacob Magnus.

      He farmed in the area and was also a carpenter until retiring a year ago. He was a member of St. Boniface RC Church, Maryhill.

      Survivors include his wife, the former Wilhelmina Bruder; his mother, one son, Donald of RR 1, West Montrose; two brothers, Jacob and Alberta, Anthony of RR 1, Ariss; five sisters, Mrs. Pauline Wright of RR 2, Ariss, Mrs. Edward Schultz and Mrs. Alfred Lehman of Kitchener, Mrs. Samuel Airdrie of Bridgeport, Miss Annie of RR 1, Ariss, and two grandchildren. Two sisters predeceased him.

      The body was at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor, Elmira, where prayers were recited Monday before removal to the church for requiem high mass at 10 o'clock. Rev. Jerome Fischer officiated. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
