- KLASSEN, Walter (Wally) - Passed away, peacefully, surrounded by family on Saturday, October 30, 2004, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, at the age of 72. Wally was the beloved husband of Judy (nee Wilson) Klassen. Loving father of Marjorie Snyder (Paul) of Hanover, Bonnie Dreher (Len) of Oxbow, Saskatchewan, Luann Hemming (Derek) of Kitchener, Carla Beros (Lloyd) of Lipton, Saskatchewan, Brad Bender (Trudy) of Ayr and Trevor Bender (Sarah) of Kitchener.Wally will be missed by 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.Dear brother and brother-in-law of Elaine Swartz (Bob), Elsie Horst (Willard), Cliff Klassen (Jean), Audrey Herlick, Marlene O'Brien (Jim Ellig), Cindy Ertel (Rick) and Mary Ann Gingrich (Merle). Dear son-in-law of Ruth Wilson. Walter will be missed by many nieces and nephews and Charlie and Angel. Predeceased by his parents, John and Almeda Klassen; father-in-law, Bob Wilson and nephew, Brad Herlick.Wally was a long-time dedicated employee at Gascho Motors and recently a shuttle driver for Bustard Chrysler. His endearing smile, stories and ever present Tilley hat will be missed by all. Wally's family will receive relatives and friends from 7-9 p.m. this evening (Monday) and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener 749-8467. Transfer will be made to Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church (57 Stirling Ave. N., Kitchener) at 12 noon Wednesday, November 3, 2004 for funeral service at 1 p.m., Pastor David Martin officiating. Interment Memory Gardens Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the M.S. Society in memory of Aunt Kay, Grand River Hospital Foundation (I.C.U.) or United Way would be appreciated by the family.
