    • Gottfried Schacht

      A resident of Preston for many years, Gottfried Schacht, 76, died at St. Mary's Hospital here Sunday morning following a brief illness. Death was due to heart trouble. Born in Germany, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Schacht, the deceased came to Canada 51 years ago. His wife predeceased him In 1922.

      Surviving are four sons, Otto H., Herbert H., Ervin L. and Arthur. A., all of Kitchener, four brothers, William of Detroit, Mich., Frederick of New Brunswick, NJ., Carl of Kitchener, and Gustave of Rochester, N.Y. and four grandchildren.

      Funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock from the home of his son Herbert H. Schacht, 107 Shoemaker avenue, Kitchener, to St. John's Anglican Church at 3 p.m. with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery. Rev, J. N. H. Mills will officiate.
