- Frey, Robert Earl - Passed away peacefully, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Sunday April 7, 2002, at the age of 74. Beloved husband and best friend of Anna (nee Weckworth). Loving father of Brenda Lee of Plattsville and Nancy Anne of Simcoe; proud and loving grandfather of Amber. Also survived by his sister, Doreen and her husband Roy Williams and sisters-in-law, Christian Kuehl and Leona Manwell. Predeceased by his parents, Percy and Olive Frey. Prior to his retirement in 1991, Robert worked at the Record as a proof reader for over 37 years. Roberts was a member of the J.M. Schneider Male Choir and the Bethany Evangelical Missionary Church Choir and also enjoyed singing at many weddings and other events.
Mr. Frey's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Robert's life and faith will be held at Bethany Missionary Church, 160 Lancaster St. E., in Kitchener, on Friday, April 12, 2002 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ron Curl officiating. Internment will follow in Parkview Cemetery. Following the funeral service friends are invited to join the family in the church hall for a time of fellowship, refreshments and remembering.
