- Honderich, Barbara Wilhelmina - Passed away suddenly during her morning walk in New Hamburg, on Friday, July 16, 2004. She was born 72 years ago, in New Hamburg, a daughter of the late William and Lavina (Kropf) Pauli. Barbara was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hamburg where she had been active in the Adult Learning Program and the Trinity Quilters. After training at Stratford Normal School, Barbara taught at Wilmot Centre Public, Baden Public and North Wilmot Public Schools. She was a much loved teacher who formed many lasting friendships with her students. Barbara was also a member of the New Dundee Women's Institute, had volunteered at Nithview Home, New Hamburg and enjoyed supporting the New Hamburg Fall Fair. Beloved wife of the late Emerson Earl Honderich who predeceased her May 19, 1996. Loving mother of James Emerson Honderich and his wife Pam Carnochan of Huntsville. Dear grandmother of Eli and Sadie. Sadly missed by sisters and brother Joan Nabert, Karl Pauli, Grace and Grant McGregor and Patsy and Bob Brenner, all of New Hamburg. Also remembered by sisters-in-law Bette Pauli Gerow of Mississauga and Martha Wagner of Kitchener and numerous nieces and nephews. Barbara was predeceased by sister May and her husband Clayton Wagner, brother Bill Pauli, brother-in-law Ed Nabert and by sister-in-law Betty Pauli. Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg on Sunday, July 18, 2004 from 7-9 p.m. and again on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Andre Lavergne and Pastor Nadine Nicholds officiating. Burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery, New Hamburg. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church (Steeple Fund) or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
