Notes - Barnett, Ruth Lillian - Peacefully passed away with her loving family by her side, at Lisaard House, on Saturday, March 27, 2004, at the age of 83 years. Beloved wife of the late Vernon Barnett. Will be forever missed by her children Janice and her husband Bob Currie; Jim and his wife Heather; Penny Rothwell; Cathy and her husband Patrick Olinski and Wendy and her husband Lee Weiner. Cherished grandmother of 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Survived by her brother Jack Hinton. Predeceased by her sister Shirley Duncan and her parents Ernest and Lillian Hinton. Ruth's strengths went beyond being a compassionate mother, listener and friend. She was a creative artist with paints and materials and loved to share her gifts. A celebration of Ruth's life will be held in the chapel of Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King Street West, Kitchener on Saturday, April 3, 2004 at 1 p.m. Reception Ratz-Bechtel Family Centre to follow. In lieu of flowers donations to Lisaard House may be placed by contacting the funeral home 745-9495 or online at 1057@alderwoods.com. The family wishes to extend their profound gratitude to the volunteers and staff of Lisaard House for all the compassion, professionalism and loving care you so graciously gave our mother.
