  MRS. CARL H. ZARNKE Mrs. Carl H. Zarnke, mother of Mr. Donald R. Zarnke of New Hamburg, died at her home in Kitchener Thursday after a brief illness. She was 63. The former Emma M. (Madge) Eby, she was born on May 21, 1904, in Kitchener, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ezra B. Eby and had been a lifelong resident of the city. Mrs. Zarnke was a former superintendent of the beginners department at Olivet United Church for many years-. Surviving besides her husband, to whom she was married on Oct. 19, 1926, in Kitchener, are one son, Donald R., New Hamburg; one daughter, Mrs. Donald R. (Gail) Foell, Waterloo; two sisters, Laura M. Eby, Kitchener, and Mrs. Ephraim (Beulah) Capling, Victoria, B.C., and four grandchildren. The funeral service was held Saturday at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, Kitchener, and burial followed in Woodland cemetery. New Hamburg Independent 1968
