- Schmidt, Wilhelmina (Minnie) - Suddenly, in Bridgeport, on Saturday, April 28, 1990, Minnie Schmidt, age 76 years. Minnie was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Bridgeport and the Happy Gang Senior Citizens. Beloved wife of the late Carl (Gunboat) Schmidt, who predeceased her in 1981; also predeceased by her parents; two brothers, Carl and Edward (Jr.) Brinkert and one sister, Clara. Mother of Joan and her husband Jack Schickler, Sandra and her husband Doug Wendling, Bill and his wife Margo, Carla and her husband Ross, Carl (Charlie) and his wife Ursula, all of Kitchener; sister of Wilfred Brinkert, Dorothy (Dot) Konrad, Marg Siegrist and Ruth Heimpel. Also remembered by 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, today (Monday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the chapel on Tuesday at 1 p.m., with Rev. Ralph Huras officiating. Internment Bridgeport Memorial cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Bridgeport, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, would be gratefully acknowledged.
