- Israel G. Weber of RR2, Waterloo, died Saturday at the home of his son, Simeon M. weber, RR 2, Waterloo, following a lengthy illness. He was 89.
He was born in Waterloo Township on May 27, 1879, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Moses Weber.
He was predeceased by his wife, the former Mary Martin in 1960, two sons, one daughter, one brother and five sisters.
Surviving are four sons, Norman of RR 3, Waterloo, Amsey of RR 1, St. Jacobs, Jacob of RR 1 West Montrose and Simeon of RR 2, Waterloo; one daughter, Selina, RR 2 Waterloo; one brother, Moses, RR 2, Waterloo; seven sisters, Sarah of RR 2 Drayton, Mrs. Rebecca Marin of Elmira, Mrs. Enoch (Elizabeth) Martin of RR 3, Wallenstein, Mrs. Veronica Brubacher of RR 1, St. Jacobs, Mrs. Samuel (Lena) Eby of RR 1, Elmira, Mrs. Amos (Susanna) weber of RR 2 Drayton, Mrs. David (Salome) Weber of RR 1, Wallenstein; 20 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
The body was at the Dreisinger funeral parlor in Elmira until Tuesday at 11 am when removal was made to the home of Simeon Weber, RR 2 Waterloo for service Wednesday at 9 am, followed by removal to Martin's Mennonite Meeting House for further service and burial in the adjoining cemetery.
