  Obituary of Brigitte Krukowski Passed away peacefully on Monday, December 11, 2017, at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, at the age of 58. Brigitte was the daughter of the late Bernhard Stopp and Georgia Stopp and grew up in north Waterloo. She and her beloved husband of 36 years, Michael Krukowski, lived in Linwood and shared many interests that included horses, dogs, cats, competitive carriage driving, road trips, renovating, and time on the Bruce Peninsula. Brigitte was a registered insurance broker, and took over the family brokerage for many years. Following early retirement, and somewhat at loose ends, she returned to insurance, working at Orr Insurance in Linwood and managing her husband's business, MLK Services. Words cannot describe her energy and passion for life. She was fun and could always be relied upon for support and positive thoughts. She held a deep love for her family that included her sisters Eleni and Marianne; her mother-in-law Marjorie Krukowski; her sisters-in-law Joanne and Ingrid; her brothers-in-law Stan, Tony, John, Mark, Richard, and Brian; her nieces Becky, Holly, Nicole, Dana, Hannah, and Jessica; and her nephews Thomas, Dylan, Brandon, and Andrew; great-niece Jazzmyn; and great-nephews Ry and Lukkas. For the past several years Brigitte lived with diabetes. Throughout that time, she often spoke of the high level of support and care that she received from doctors, nurses, and other caregivers.
