____________
County License Inspector Appointed
Joseph Winterhalt of This City the Man.
WAS A SUCCESSFUL CIGAR MANUFACTURER
After the new Prohibition Act goes into effect - 16 Sept. there will be but one license inspector in Waterloo County.
Both Mr. F. Walter, the present inspector for North Waterloo. and Mr. Knowles, inspector for South Waterloo, will retire.
The Ontario License Commission already has appointed a county license inspector to succeed them. The lucky applicant is Mr. Joseph Winterhalt of this city. It is understood that the salary attached at least is $1200 per annum and that he will assume the duties of the new position on Monday. 18th September.
Mr. Winterhalt is a cigar manufacturer who came to this city twenty-five years ago or more from Hespeler and has been a successful business man.
He is possessed of a genial disposition, is conseientious and honorable in all his dealings. He stands well among his fellow-citizens and for many years represented them in the city council. His appointment generally will be well-received throughout the County.
"Rich Uncle" always was a winner.
