  August Schlender The death occurred here this morning of Mr. August Schlender in his 92nd year. The deceased was born in Germany. He was a lifelong resident of this city and was well known. He is survived by two sons, Charles of Hamilton and Henry of Kitchener, and by two daughters, Mrs. John E. Miller of Waterloo and Mrs. E. P. Steffler of Kitchener. Some 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. Mr. Schlender was predeceased by one son, Reinhold of St. Louis, Mo., a year ago. The funeral will take place Saturday afternoon at three o'clock with a service at the Lippert and Hunter Funeral Home. Internment will be made in Mount Hope cemetery, Rev. J. Schmieder, pastor of St. Matthew's church, will have charge of the services. Kitchener Daily Record, November 26, 1931
