Notes |
- Mrs. Henry F. Bowman
There passed away at the K-W Hospital, on Thursday evening, after an illness of five weeks' duration, Mrs. Henry F Bowman, aged 48. The deceased, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Levi M. B. Weber, was born on the farm south of this village, where she resided up until the time of her illness, when she was taken to the hospital for treatment.
She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Ammon Martin, of Waterloo, and Elvina, at home; also one sister (Judith), Mrs. Solomon Bowman, of Wallenstein, and one step-brother, Mr. Aaron Weber, of Conestogo.
Funeral servies were held on Sunday afternoon, from her late home, at 1.30 o'clock, to Martin's Meeting House, where the main service was conducted at 3 o'clock. Burial took place in the adjoining cemetery. This was one of the largest funerals ever held in this district. An actual count showed that no less than 211 horse vehicles as well as many motor cars had conveyed the countless numbers of friends and relatives to the funeral of one beloved and respected by all with whom she came in contact.
