- RB, Edith Viola (Hallman) - Passed away, on Sunday, December 28, 2008, at Stratford General Hospital. Edith resided in Stratford, and was born 83 years ago, a daughter of the late Simon and Ida (Snyder) Hallman*. She was a member of Bethel Pentecostal Tabernacle, Stratford. Devoted wife of the late Earle G. Erb who predeceased her October 13, 2004. Beloved mother of Arlene and Alan Lupton, Linda and Aubrey Henderson all of Stratford, Robert and Barbara Erb of Niagara Falls, Larry and Juliet Erb of St. Catharines, James Erb of Shellbrook, Saskatchewan, Paul and Diane Erb of Vanastra, and the late Virginia Commerford. Cherished grandma of 24 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of David and Lorraine Hallman of Baden, Sylvia and Elton Kropf of Tavistock, Miriam Sallans of Kitchener, Willa and Don Albrecht of Mount Helens, Flo and Don Steers of Belleville, Jan and Gord Burmaster of Kitchener, and Sharon and Ron Albrecht of New Hamburg. Also remembered by Larry Commerford of Gadshill. Predeceased by brother-in-law, Willard Sallans. Relatives and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home , 291 Huron St., New Hamburg on Thursday from 6-9 p.m. Visitation will then continue at Bethel Pentecostal Tabernacle, Stratford on Friday, January 2, 2009 from 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. with Rev. Charles Swartwood officiating. Burial to follow at Avondale Cemetery, Stratford. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
