  Melvin Leis 1920-2005 Passed away peacefully, at Caressant Care Nursing Home in Fergus, on Wednesday, August 24, 2005, at the age of 85 years. Melvin leaves his beloved wife Marie (nee Leis), his children Robert of Beaverlodge, Alberta, Jeffrey and his wife Yvonne of Seaforth, Barbara and her husband Ron Van Norman of Belle River, Carol and her husband Justin Collins of Waterloo and Nancy and her husband Doug Hounsome of Cambridge as well as his grandchildren Greg Van Norman and his wife Lori, Jennifer Savela and her husband David, Tracy Van Norman, Daisy and Nancy Collins, Scott and Bradley Hounsome and great-grandchildren Thomas Savela, Shontelle and Nathan Van Norman, Matthew Michaud and Michael Leis. Predeceased by his parents, a son Edward Leis and one brother Moses Leis. Friends are invited to share their memories of Melvin with his family at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King Street South in Waterloo on Friday, August 26, 2005 from 1 to 1: 45 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Melvin's life and faith will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday at 2 p.m. Following the service, friends are invited to join the family in the funeral home's Historic Kuntz House for refreshments and a time to visit with the family. Internment will take place in Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. In memory of Melvin, donations may be maade to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario and can be arranged through the funeral home.
