    • Schmidt, Charles A. (Carl) - At the Freeport Hospital, on Saturday, October 16, 1976, after a brief illness, Charles Adam (Carl) Schmidt of 236 Louisa Street, age 75 years. Mr. Schmidt was born in Kitchener, a son of the late Charles Schmidt and the former Rosalie Adams and was a member of St. Mary's RC Church, also member of senior citizens. Formerly employed at Woelfele Shoe Company for many years and latterly at Electro-home Industries Limited. Surviving are his wife, the former Edna House, his two daughters, Shirley (Mrs. Karl Siegel) and Carol (Mrs. Roland Siegel), both of Kitchener; a brother, Cletus Schmidt of Kitchener and six grandchildren, David, Deborah, Steven, Kevin, Catherine and Bradley; predeceased by brother Norman and his sister, Mrs. Lillian Hausch. Friends may call at Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home after noon on Sunday, where vigil service will be held Sunday at 8 p.m. Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Monday, followed by funeral mass at St. Louis RC Church at 10 a.m. Interment Woodland Cemetery.
