- At the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital, on Wednesday, March 21, 1973, after a lengthy illness, Nettie Hicks, of 80 Scott Street, Kitchener, at the age of 88 years, was born in Dutton, Ontario, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Hicks, a member of Zion United Church and the United Church Women. Wife of Simeon Witzel who predeceased her in 1948, sister of George Hicks of Windsor, Cora Hicks of Kitchener, and the late Charles, Albert, and Clifford. Friends may call at the Ratz Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St, West, Kitchener after noon on Friday. Funeral and committal service in the chapel, Saturday at 2: 00 pm with Rev. G.F. Barthel officiating. Interment in Mount Hope Cemetery beside her husband Simeon. Donations to the mission fund of the church, may be made as expressions of sympathy.
