    • 54 Benton Street

St. Matthews Lutheran Church, built 1914-1915, occupies the prominent northwest corner of Benton and Church Streets. An impressive work of architecture, the church is built of brown brick in a variant of the English Perpendicular Gothic style with central rose window, side tower and trefoil motif at the doorways. The building is in excellent condition and there is a large 1951 administration wing to the rear extending down Church Street and blending well into the surrounding development .1a
