  54 Benton Street St. Matthews Lutheran Church, built 1914-1915, occupies the prominent northwest corner of Benton and Church Streets. An impressive work of architecture, the church is built of brown brick in a variant of the English Perpendicular Gothic style with central rose window, side tower and trefoil motif at the doorways.
