  HOPF, Katie Passed away on Monday, April 12, 2010 at Pinehaven Nursing Home in Waterloo, at the age of 97. Mother of Don Hopf and his wife Linda. Loving grandmother of Donald Hopf and Kathy Germann and her husband Steve. Will be missed by extended family Annette Hauck and her husband Carl. Predeceased by her husband Herman Hopf; her parents Lillian Souder and William Habermehl; brothers, Moses, Jerry, and William Habermehl; sisters Carrie Kuschneriet and Barbara Weland. Katie was a devoted member of Alcoholics Anonymous for over 50 years. According to Katie's wishes, there will be a private family memorial service to celebrate her life at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. In loving memory of Katie, donations to the Humane Society of Kitchener-Waterloo would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
