- Death of Mr. Albert Kritzer
The death occurred on Friday last, 17th inst., at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Carter, in Trowbridge of Albert Kritzer, one of the early settlers of the township of Wallace. He was aged 81 years, 7 months and 8 days. He has been living of late with his daughter in Trowbridge. Death was due to infirmities of age. Of his family of five sons, two live in Listowel, Jacob and William, and follow the occupation of stone masons: and one, Henry is living in Portage La Prairie, Man., and the other two John and Valentine are on farms. The deceased, Albert Kritzer, was born in Hease Darmstadt, Germany, Oct. 9th, 1825 and was married in 1854 to Mary Dorotha Grening. They came to Canada in 1857 and first settled in Waterloo Township, removing to Wallace in 1860, where they resided until a few years ago. He was member of the Lutheran church, a man of upright character, a good neighbor and a kind father.
