    • DIETRICH, Ronald John Francis - Passed peacefully, at home in Tiverton, Ontario, with Barbara, his family and Bennie at his side, on Saturday, August 26, 2006. Born in Waterloo, on an October 23rd day, to parents, Lloyd (Butch) Dietrich and Marie Dietrich (Zinger) and elder brother of Robert. Ron Dietrich, attended St. Louis Catholic School, St. Jerome's Collegiate and then graduated from Lougheed Business College in Kitchener. After a brief employ with Tony Day Sweater Company, where he met and later married his beloved Barbara Rose Strome, Ronald embarked on a successful 34 year Sales Career with Meyer Mercer Industrial Equipment, based in Waterloo interacting with numerous local businesses and manufacturing companies. Always the avid sportsman, he was also involved in the origination of the Fur Management Course offered at local colleges in Ontario in coordination with the Ministry of Natural Resources where he was an Instructor for many years to promote humane trapping and education. Father to Lisa Rae (Derek) and Deanna Stan (James) and loving Grandfather and "Pa" to his four grandchildren, MacKenzie and Jessica Rae and Graham and Taylor Stan. Cherished son- in-law of Mary Strome of Waterloo. After living in Waterloo for over 50 years, Ron and Barbara relocated to Tiverton, Ontario in 1992, where they enjoyed their gardens, quiet country living around Lake Huron and for the next eight years Ron dedicated himself part-time as a well respected Bus driver for Laidlaw Transit supporting the Bruce Central school district. There will be no visitation per Ron's request. Friends and family are invited to attend the interment service to be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at 1: 30 p.m. at Parkview Cemetery, 335 University Avenue E., Waterloo. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to share their memories of Ron at the place, they spent all their time and found so much happiness together. A reception at 13 Paterson Street, in Tiverton, Ontario on Friday, September 1 between 2: 30 and 4: 30 p.m. Barbara and her daughters express their appreciation and heartfelt thanks to those who supported Ron and his family, all her wonderful neighbours including Don and Sharon Traviss for their friendship and special care for Bennie, to Dr. Stanley Jackson and the team at the Juravinski Cancer Center in Hamilton, Fran and Lana at Lakeview Lodge, St Josephs Hospital, to Dr. G. Gurbin and his team in Kincardine, to the staff at Pharma Plus, the outstanding Victoria Order Nurses; Diane Eastwood, Patti Boren, Katherine Gowing and Bonnie Paulusse for their professionalism and care giving. To Ellan McFadyen and her staff at the Cancer Society with a special thanks to Harvey Needham who selflessly volunteered time and resources on behalf of the Cancer Society for transportation and friendship. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society to assist in the research to continue to find hope and cure for the disease that Ronald fought with courage and fierce determination for the past 6 years.
