      PRESTON, Oct. 3. Illness of several months duration culminated in the death, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, yesterday of Edward Starr, son of Mrs. Alex Starr, 705 William St. and the late Mr. Starr, at the age of 58 years. Born in Linwood, Mr. Starr resided in Kitchener and Windsor and for the past two years had made his home with his mother. A painter and decorator by trade, he had been employed at the Canadian Buffalo Sled until his illness, a few months ago. He was a member of St. Clement's R.C. Church. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Alex Starr, Preston; two sisters, Mrs. John Brown of Preston and Mrs. Gilbert Groh of Toronto and three brothers, John and Wyman Starr of Preston and Harold Starr of Seaford, Del. His wife, Emma Schmidt, predeceased him six years ago at Kitchener. The body is resting at the Stager-Pass Funeral Home. The funeral will take place tomorrow, with requiem high mass at St. Clement's R.C. Church, at 9 a.m. Interment will be in the R.C. cemetery.
